Wesley Men's Basketball Gains ECAC Tournament Bid; Wolverines Travel To Misericordia For Wednesday's First-Round Contest

The Wesley College men's basketball team earned a bid to the ECAC South Championships and will travel to College Misericordia on Wednesday, March 2.

It marks the third straight season the Wolverines (17-10) have advanced beyond the conference postseason.  Wesley had earned bids to the NCAA Tournament in each of the last two seasons.

The Wolverines are seeded fifth in the tournament and will travel to Misericordia for a 7:00 PM tip off.  The two schools will renew a series for the first team since the institutions were members of the Pennsylvania Athletic Conference - now the Colonial States Athletic Conference.

The first-round winners will advance to the semifinals on Saturday, March 5 at the highest remaining seed. The winner of Lebanon Valley/Marywood will face the winner of Misericordia/Wesley in one semifinal, and the winner of DeSales/Neumann will play the winner of Catholic/Gallaudet in the other semifinal. The semifinal winners will meet Sunday, March 6 for the championship.

No. 6 Gallaudet University (15-9) at No. 3 Catholic University (19-8), 7:30 p.m.
No. 5 Wesley College (17-10) at No. 4 Misericordia University (14-11), 7:00 p.m.

Semifinal Round – Saturday, March 5 (at highest remaining seed)
No. 1/No. 8 winner vs. No. 4/No. 5 winner, time
No. 2/No. 7 winner vs. No. 3/No. 6 winner, time

Championship Game – Sunday, March 6 (at highest remaining seed)
Two Semifinal Winners, time
