St. Mary's senior point guard Alex Franz, the CAC Player of the Year, and freshman teammate Christian MacAuley, the CAC Rookie of the Year, received similar awards on the D3hoops.com All-Middle Atlantic Region team.

Franz was one of three CAC players named to the D3hoops.com all-region team, and the only CAC player on the all region first team.

SMC classmate Sam Burum, who shared the lowpost and rebounding duties with MacAuley, was a second-team all-region choice.

Franz, MacAuley and Burum led the Seahawks to a 25-5 final record, the CAC regular season and post-season championship and to three wins and a berth in the Elite 8 of the 2011 NCAA Tournament.

Wesley senior guard Paul Reynolds, who led the Wolverines to second place in the regular season, a berth in the CAC championship game and into the ECAC South Championsihp Tournament, was a third-team choice on the D3hoops.com all-region team.
