Salisbury field hockey head coach Dawn Chamberlin was named the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Mid-Atlantic Region Coach of the Year, highlighting a group of five from Salisbury on the all-region all-star squad.

In addition to Chamberlin, seniors Summer Washburn and Mallory Elliott, and juniors Breck Sullivan and Courtney Jantzen were all named to the first team.

This is Chamberlin's third coach of the year honor, having already been named the Capital Athletic Conference Coach of the Year and the NFHCA South Region Coach of the Year, as well.

Washburn and Elliott were two of the seven players named to the first team as midfielders.

Elliott tied for the team lead with 16 assists, which led the CAC and tied for fourth nationally. Elliott also scored 14 goals, which were second on the team.

Washburn played a key role at both ends of the field for the Sea Gulls, finishing the season with seven goals and 14 assists. Her 14 helpers tied for sixth in program history on the single-season list.

Sullivan anchored a Salisbury defense, which gave up just 20 goals in 21 games this year. The Sea Gulls' team goals-against average of 0.95 stood 10th in the nation, while Sullivan recorded a team-high four defensive saves on the year.

Jantzen was Salisbury's top scorer throughout the season, finishing with 22 tallies, ranking 16th in the nation. Her 22 markers were the ninth-highest total in program history for a single season. Jantzen also recorded seven assists this year for a team-best 51 points.

Salisbury went 19-2 in 2014, claiming the program's 18th CAC championship and advancing to the NCAA tournament for the 30th-consecutive season. The Sea Gulls made their run to the NCAA semifinals for the 13th time.
