Nine CAC Players Named To Longstreth Field Hockey All-Region Team
Five players from the Mary Washington field hockey team, which will play Montclair State Saturday in the national semifinals, were named to the 2012 Longstreth National Field Hockey Coaches Association All-South Region team.
UMW's Caitlin Baker and Lisa Charney earned first-team South Region recognition while Amy Abernathy, Florence George and Jenna Steele were second-team all-region honorees.
Salisbury's Amber Holland picked up first-team all-region honors while Kristina Fusco and Erica Henderson were on the second team.
Wesley's Madison Leone, who shared CAC Player of the Year honors with Charney, was the fourth CAC player on the all-region first team.
