      <description>The Marymount University men's and women's soccer and lacrosse teams will soon have a great new home field! Construction has been moving along fast on a synthetic-turf playing field at Long Bridge Park, a new facility with panoramic views of the Potomac River.  The lighted field is scheduled to be ready for use starting in fall 2011. It will be one of four sports fields at the 28-acre Long Bridge Park.</description>

      <description>The Capital Athletic Conference announced that a record 956 student-athletes from the nine member institutions competing in 19 championship sports were named to the 2009-10 CAC All-Academic Team.  Student-athletes in one or more CAC championship sports that attain a 3.20 grade point average (GPA) for the academic year earn a berth on the CAC All-Academic Team.  It's the fourth-straight year the CAC totaled at least 900 on the All-Academic Team.</description>
