2023 C2C Men's Basketball All-Conference Awards Released

The 2023 Coast-To-Coast Athletic Conference (C2C) Men's Basketball awards have been announced. The following are this year's honorees, as voted on by the league's head coaches:

Player of the Year: Greg Rowson - Mary Washington
Greg Rowson gains C2C Player of the Year honors after averaging 17.1 points and 6.3 rebounds per game for Mary Washington. The senior has achieved much this season, gaining national player of the week honors, as well as surpassing 1,000 career points and gaining in-season tournament most valuable player honors.

Defensive Player of the Year: Zack Blue - Mary Washington
Zack Blue nets the C2C Defensive Player of the Year after standing out for his impressive defense for the Eagles, who yield just 63 points per game as a team. Blue has stood out, registering 63 steals, 129 defensive rebounds, and countless deflections and charges taken.

Rookie of the Year: Dorian Davis - Mary Washington
Freshman Dorian Davis has been named as the C2C Rookie of the Year. Davis averages 7.1 points per game as an important member of the Eagles' rotation, and is shooting 39.7% from the field, including 33% from three-point range, and 86% from the free throw line.

Scholar-Athlete of the Year: Jordan Oates - Salisbury
Salisbury's Jordan Oates is a junior from Hanover, Md. that holds a 3.68 GPA as a Biomedical Sciences major with a focus in Pre-Dentistry and a minor in Chemistry. A two-time Academic All-District selection, Oates has made the Dean's List four times at SU and is a member of the Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society. On the court, Oates leads the C2C in rebounds per game (8.6), second in defensive rebounds per game (6.2) and fourth in offensive rebounds per game (2.4). He also averages 10.0 points per game, which is third-most on the Sea Gulls and 17th in the conference.

"Jeff Gamber" C2C Coaching Staff of the Year: Mary Washington, Head Coach: Marcus Kahn
UMW head coach Marcus Kahn and assistant Mark Sansone gain their first C2C Coach Staffing of the Year honor after leading the Eagles to an 18-7 record, with wins over #1 ranked Randolph-Macon and Hampden-Sydney. Kahn's Eagles have been nationally ranked this season, and are currently third in the latest NCAA Regional Rankings for NCAA selection.
